Things that come up most

It made folders but isn't sorting anything into them

Sorting only looks at new mail as it arrives. If you have just made folders, the mail already sitting in your inbox was looked at before those folders existed, so nothing moves on its own. Open the mailbox and press Sort my inbox now — that goes back over what is already there and files it.

I deleted my folders and want to begin again

On the mailbox page, choose Set up again from scratch. It reads your folders as they are now and plans again, and nothing in your mailbox changes until you approve the new plan. Do this rather than disconnecting: disconnecting throws away everything it has learned about how you file.

Mail I file myself keeps staying put

That is deliberate. If you move a message yourself, that was your decision and it is left alone. Corrections are also how it learns — move something to where it belongs and it takes the hint.

Nothing older than a few weeks gets filed

Every plan has a catch-up window, and mail older than it is never touched — not on setup, not later. Your plan's window is shown on your billing page.

Sorting has stopped

Two usual reasons. Either the connection needs renewing, which the mailbox page says plainly and fixes with one button, or the month's allowance is used up — in which case mail simply stays in your inbox and nothing is ever charged automatically.

Anything about your data

What is stored, what never is, and how to delete all of it is in the privacy policy. If you want your account and everything in it removed, say so in an email and it is done — you do not have to give a reason.
